Riding the 'Bows

A Story of Hawaii

Treatment:

WHO - Terry Wise (just a name, no correlation to the Terry Wise)  and a female Kahuna (think Auntie Leona).
WHAT - A fish out of water story. A man moves to Hawaii and is taken in by the islands.
WHERE - HI. Maui and the Big Island specifically.
WHEN - Turn of the millenium.
WHY - Correlate Native American beliefs and Pacific Islanders similarities.
HOW - Kahuna forced, at first, to pass on teachings.



SYNOPSIS -
      Maluhini has trouble adjusting, arrives with a giant chip on his shoulder. Meets girl ("and then these Tongans started to beat this guy up using my car.") Keeps running into Kahuna, and they do not hit it off well. Any of the several times. Goes with new girl (let's call her Anna) to visit her family. That's when the Kahuna loses her cookies. Spirits are telling her that her successor is coming. When he show up, Kahuna is extremely rude. Spirits are cajoling her and badgering and driving her insane. She refuses them their requests. And they go after her with a vengeance. The spirits win,
